Class Information

Currently, on the Crafting an Artful Life platform, we are offering ongoing classes in Watercolor Painting and Making Books. There are other workshops and classes that will also be offered, so do some exploring of the different class spaces. 

Watercolor Classes are held online bi-weekly, and alternate bi-weekly with Open Studios. 

Book Making workshops are held at least once a month.  

Watercolor Classes

In my online Watercolor classes, you will:

  • Learn essential watercolor techniques and when to use them in your paintings
  • Develop your ability to think like an artist, learning design principles so you can create strong and dynamic paintings
  • Grow your knowledge of color theory, value, composition, and how to use these and other foundations of art in your paintings
  • Learn how to simplify your paintings and paint more efficiently

Handmade Book Classes

Have you ever wanted to make your own books?

Join us for these ongoing classes and you’ll be surprised at how easy it is to create books that can be used for sketching, painting, journaling, gardening notes, nature or travel journals, cartooning…. the sky’s the limit!

  • We will learn all the basic techniques and more.
  • A few of the many books we’ll be making are: Accordion, Pamphlet Stitch, French Link Stitch, Soft-Cover Coptic Stitch, and Hard-Cover Coptic Stitch.

Yes! This app allows for a great community experience and there’s so much to learn from fellow members!

Each Space will have its own page for Supply Lists. In the event that a specific class requires something different, the supply list will be included in the class description.

Yes! They are found in the same spaces as the classes

Offering these classes is my way to share the joy that I have found in being creative, and they are free to all to enjoy.
Each class takes many hours of preparation, and the website and zoom platforms have monthly costs.
